When pricing out your jewelry items, be sure to get a clear understanding of what unit the buyer is pricing in. Many in the industry are creating diversions by saying that they are paying high prices for gold and silver, when in reality they are just quoting in Pennyweight (dwt) versus grams. Remember, there is 1.555 grams per pennyweight, therefore the price per unit of a dealer who works in pennyweight will obviously appear to be higher.
