Exceeding Expectations! (again)
This week, a customer came in to sell a large 14k necklace that she has had for years. She had previously taken the same item to a well-known heavily advertised competitor for a quote as well. When we tested, weighed and priced the item, she was in shock: $870.00 was the offer she received at Sell Us Your Gold.
How much did the competitor offer her? $500.
Our price nearly doubled that of the well known competitor - suffice to say, that the customer was very pleased with her experience, and disgusted at the lowball offer she received elsewhere.
She also stated that she wished she sold her previous items to us - because she knows that she could have received more at Sell Us Your Gold!

They Paid You What???
Here is a true story that we are passing on from a recent Sell Us Your Gold customer. This customer came into our Gilbert location a week ago, and wanted to receive pricing on her unwanted gold jewelry. After our resident experts tested the items and calculated the pricing based off the market value - we told her the price: $166.00.
The customer was truly astonished - and here's why. She saw a commercial on TV from an un-named (large firm) who encourages customers to mail in their gold. She thought to herself, "Hmm...this looks easy enough." Little did she know that she was in for an epic battle.
She requested one of those gold kits that many of these places advertise - a prepaid envelope sent to your front door. She followed the instructions and sent the very same items that she brought to our store. Her total payout? $11.00.
That's $11.00, just in case you thought this was a typo, or the decimal was misplaced. Suffice it to say, the customer was furious. She escalated the issue to the mail-it-in corporation, who initially met her frustration with very little empathy. Finally, after weeks of haggling, and the threat of legal action overhead, the firm finally relented and sent her items back intact.
We have heard many similar stories, and the moral of the story is: Sell your items to professionals. You should be there during the transaction, to see the entire process. Sadly, many people just accept the payout that they receive from these firms, and are being cheated out of hundreds, if not thousands of dollars.
